This Privacy Policy explains how VexingPanel ("the Extension") collects, uses, and protects user information when interacting with the Extension on Twitch.

By using the Extension, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Data Collection

When using the Extension, the following user data is collected:

• Twitch User ID (a numeric identifier assigned by Twitch)
• Twitch Username (your publicly displayed name on Twitch)
• Subscription Information:
  • Number of months subscribed
  • Number of gifted subscriptions sent
  • Last subscription date

No other personally identifiable information is collected, and the Extension does not track user activity beyond its core functions.

3. Purpose of Data Collection

The collected information is used exclusively for:

• Allowing users to modify their virtual statue in the Virtual Stream Room displayed at HowVexing
• Displaying their username & months subscribed on the virtual statue in the Virtual Stream Room displayed at HowVexing
• Displaying system messages in Twitch chat when a user modifies their statue or uses an interaction within the Extension.

The data is not used for analytics, advertising, tracking, or any other purpose.

4. Data Storage & Security

User data is securely stored on a cloud provider’s private database.

The database is not publicly accessible and is secured against unauthorized access.

All interactions between the Extension and the backend are encrypted using HTTPS.

5. Data Retention

User data is retained for as long as the Extension is active.

If a user unsubscribes, their data remains in the database unless a deletion request is made.

6. User Rights & Data Deletion

Users have the right to request the deletion of their data. To request data deletion:

• Submit a request in Twitch chat while logged into the Twitch account associated with the data.
• The request must be made from the Twitch account to verify the identity of the user.

Currently, there is no method for users to view the data stored about them.

7. Data Sharing

No data is shared with third parties.

The collected user information never leaves the secure server.

8. Compliance with Privacy Laws

The Extension operates in compliance with applicable data privacy laws, including:

• The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) (for California users)
• The Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA) (for Virginia users)
• The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (for EU users, where applicable)

While the collected data is minimal and non-sensitive, users retain the right to request data deletion.
